Link https://youtu.be/xoqYibmG3dM For my final project I did a stop motion animation. I first started out by making backgrounds for each slide, then adding another layer so that I could move the characters around more smoothly and easier. The liked how the final project came out and how its silly vibe is really shown, but I would have made some of the models for the characters a bit cleaner on some frames.

1. Describe the artwork- list what's seen in the artwork and describe what you see and what elements and colors are included. 2.Analyze the artwork- list art elements and design principles such as space, texture, proportion, etc. 3. Interpret the artwork- What is the mood/ feeling that's communicated and what ideas does it represent. 4. Judge the artwork- What do you think of the artwork, and in your opinion is it successful. Critique The project I will critique is the clay vessel project. When I started the project I brainstormed all my possible ideas for the project, I then picked out my favorite/most refined idea. I then mapped out what I was going to do in my notebook, and then redrew the picture with measurements which I later changed due to the model being to small. I used multiple techniques to create the project, such as a pinch pot for the bowl and slabs for the base. I learned that its okay to remake something multiple times and how its sometimes better to get rid of certain elements to refine others. I also realized that you can just go with the flow and see if you come up with more ideas for your piece along the way, because I added the second hole in the top part of the project later. The techniques I used were form, since its very clear what I was making based on the shape, and emphasis, since the plunger Is the only thing that isn't white. I tried to keep it a smooth texture to more accurately reflect what a toilet is like in real life. I think the reason I made this piece was to try to be funny and see a creative way to make a vessel. I'm happy with the way it turned out and I think it was successful but if I were to do it again I would try to make some of the slabs flatter, because some of the slabs caved in. 9. I don't feel that the illustrations ever helped me with brainstorm for projects, because they felt quite random and didn't really help me come up with ideas for projects like clay or linocut. Since the illustration Fridays were at the end of the week, so I had already started a project by then. I also tried to avoid keeping to a precise theme to avoid making the class feel that repetitive. I do feel like the illustration Fridays gave me some good ideas and let me be creative in a different way. This includes inspiring me to draw more and come up with themes myself for creating projects at home. 1. I believe that art is the expression of an idea. Art can be found in many forms such a painting, acting, music, etc., but all come from someone coming up with an idea in there head that was turned into something showable. Composers create music for other people to enjoy and interpret, and it is considered art. I believe that art is also something made for other people to enjoy, because no one just makes art to immediately hide or destroy. Art is created and enjoyed, such as when we did the art show, people saw and they liked the show. 18. The medium I enjoyed using the best was the pencil, because I had used it before so I had felt very comfortable with it. Even though I enjoyed experimenting with new mediums, it still feels nice to work with something you know well. The medium I wished we had used was digital editing, because I think that it could have made for an interesting project. Learning basics of photoshop or another photo editing website and making a creation would have been fun and educate on how to do this again for future references. CritiqueQuestion 9Question 1Question 181. i like how the shading on the apple turned out and the cleaner cuts on the letters
2. i wish i had more time to finish my original project 3. i used cardstock and rulers to get the shapes, and an exacto to cut it out 1. I made a photo of my grandfather
2. I used prismacolor as my medium 3. I started by planing out my drawing on graph paper, the made a graph on drawing paper, and then i colored the graph in. Then I drew the background on a separate piece of paper. 4. i found that the background came out nice and the colors have a lot of contrast, but I would make the graph lines lighter next time in order to avoid blending gray with the prismacolor. 1. Since my in -process post i have added a gloss finish and resealed cracks and breaks that had happened before.
2. im happy with how the form came out, and how you can easily tell what the vessel is 3. If i were to make 1. I used more geometric shapes for my piece and tried to add in smaller line patterns to help represent line
2. I liked the more head are, but if i did it again i would make the legs more defined 1. I plan to finish painting refinements on my piece. I want to make sure everything is a solid color, maybe adding shading later. I also plan to glue broken pieces back together.
2. The most difficult part so far has been making sides look flat instead of lumpy 3. The easiest part has been getting a good form 4. I started by making the pinch pot for the bowl. I then my hard slabs for the stand and the back, And made a second pinch pot for the plunger. i then added details and refinements to the shape, then fired the piece. I painted the pieces and made them look closer to being finished for1.I used a two point perspective, because the dove counts as one perspective and the background counts as another
2. Its a picture of my pet dove that i took in its cage 3.Getting a good shade of green for the background 4.forced perspective photography and different styles helped a lot because they helped me determine how i wanted the piece to look and what styles i wanted to use 1. I found that you can blend colors into the next and how to make smaller details
2. How easy it is to create different shades of colors 3.Its harder to control the paint |
